北京萬泰生物藥業(yè)股份有限公司成立于 1991 年，經(jīng)過多年診斷試劑的研究和生產(chǎn)，現(xiàn)已發(fā)展成為由養(yǎng)生堂集團控股、集科研、開發(fā)、生產(chǎn)為一體的體外診斷試劑生產(chǎn)企業(yè)， 注冊資金達 5500 萬元。公司從事生產(chǎn)血源篩查的全套試劑，及用于醫(yī)院臨床檢測的肝炎、性病、腫瘤等酶免及金標快速診斷試劑，可提供 70 余種、 90 多個規(guī)格的產(chǎn)品，是國內(nèi)產(chǎn)品最齊全的體外免疫診斷試劑生產(chǎn)商。 被指定為 國家生物高新技術(shù)產(chǎn)業(yè)化示范工程基地、國家傳染病診斷試劑與疫苗工程技術(shù)研究中心。
2006年1月，公司遷入位于中關(guān)村生命科學(xué)園內(nèi)占地52畝的新廠址，生產(chǎn)廠房面積超過2萬平方米，并于同年8月通過國家食品藥品監(jiān)督管理局 GMP認證。自2000年首次通過國家GMP認證至今，公司已積累了8年多的GMP運行管理經(jīng)驗。百萬級別的凈化生產(chǎn)環(huán)境和完善的質(zhì)量管理體系為產(chǎn)品的優(yōu)秀品質(zhì)和穩(wěn)定性提供了可靠的保障。2007年底，公司完成股份制改造，正式變更為股份有限公司，并計劃在2008年完成上市工作，為公司未來的大規(guī)模、多元化發(fā)展奠定堅實的資金基礎(chǔ)。

公司與廈門大學(xué)聯(lián)合研發(fā)的擁有4項全球知識產(chǎn)權(quán)的國際首個戊型肝炎疫苗，已進入三期臨床，所研發(fā)的新型抗宮頸癌疫苗（HPV 疫苗）也進入了臨床研究申報階段，另外，聯(lián)合研發(fā)的國內(nèi)首個的 H5N1 型禽流感免疫診斷試劑也吸引了國內(nèi)外多家研究單位和企業(yè)的關(guān)注。 世界衛(wèi)生組織將戊型肝炎疫苗列為二十一世紀應(yīng)最優(yōu)先研制的疫苗之一，國際上多個跨國制藥企業(yè)在進行HEV疫苗研究，但迄今仍無一種疫苗獲得成功，廈門大學(xué)、香港大學(xué)、萬泰公司HEV課題組1998年起聯(lián)合攻關(guān)研究，已申請了4項國際發(fā)明專利，涵蓋了戊肝重組疫苗所涉及的多個最關(guān)鍵核心技術(shù)，目前該疫苗已完成了相關(guān)的各項臨床研究工作，安全性相關(guān)指標達到美國、歐盟等的最高標準，該疫苗是迄今我國唯一一項原創(chuàng)性基因工程重組疫苗，也是我國少有的擁有高度排他性的核心專利的原創(chuàng)性藥物之一。在此疫苗研制的基礎(chǔ)上的我們推出更符合臨床急性HEV診斷的HEV-IgM（捕獲法）試劑，顯著提高了戊型肝炎的早期急性診斷的準確性，使得肝炎研究領(lǐng)域?qū)ξ煨透窝孜：π赃M行重新評估。
