日本光電工業(yè)株式會社（Nihon Kohden）成立于1951年，是世界最著名的醫(yī)用電子儀器生產(chǎn)公司之一，其宗旨是"以電子技術(shù)與疾病進行斗爭"，主要產(chǎn)品有：監(jiān)護儀、腦電圖機、心電圖機、除顫器及MEK系列血球計數(shù)儀共5大類。公司股票1961年在東京上市。

美荻特光電醫(yī)療軟件（上海）有限公司是日本光電工業(yè)株式會社于2002年在中國上海市投資設(shè)立的外商獨資企業(yè)，專業(yè)從事醫(yī)療器械和醫(yī)療系統(tǒng)的軟件研究和開發(fā)工作。

第一家是上海光電醫(yī)用電子儀器有限公司，負責“NIHON KOHDEN”品牌的組裝產(chǎn)品生產(chǎn);

 
第二家是美荻特光電醫(yī)療軟件（上海）有限公司，負責“NIHON KOHDEN”品牌的醫(yī)療軟件開發(fā)。
 

第三家是尼虹光電貿(mào)易（上海）有限公司，負責在中國大陸營銷“NIHON KOHDEN”品牌的原裝產(chǎn)品外，同時也負責日本光電旗下——上海光電的組裝產(chǎn)品以及美荻特光電的醫(yī)療軟件。因此公司的商號--“尼虹光電”四字就源自于“NIHON KOHDEN ”的日語諧音。

Pulse oximetry, the technology to noninvasive measure oxygen in the blood, was invented by Dr. Takuo Aoyagi, a Nihon Kohden scientist.
In addition to supplying the world with our own high quality medical equipment, Nihon Kohden imports outstanding overseas products into Japan. Our wide range of imported equipment includes cardiology, urology, respiratory care, anesthesiology, emergency care, sports medicine and rehabilitation.
