美國太平洋納米科技公司（PNI）是一家專業(yè)設計、制造掃描探針顯微鏡并服務于納米領域應用的廠商，公司創(chuàng)建于1997年，公司匯聚了掃描探針顯微鏡領域的眾多專家（包括Gary Aden和Paul West等掃描探針顯微鏡界知名人士），擁有很強的開發(fā)能力，率先開發(fā)出平板式掃描器和雙掃描器等先進的AFM，目前平板式掃描器已經廣泛應用于生物、材料以及電子產品開發(fā)等領域。經過數(shù)年的發(fā)展，公司已經成為掃描探針顯微鏡的主要供應商之一，目前在世界范圍內擁有大量的用戶，其中包括：斯坦福大學、密西根大學、印第安納州立大學、伯克利大學、加州理工大學、九州大學、美國宇航局、美國質量檢驗檢疫局、Sony、Epson、NEC、Nikon、Canon、現(xiàn)代、LG等知名院校和企業(yè)。
1997 年創(chuàng)建時名稱為Pacific Scanning，是一家專業(yè)生產AFM 控制器和其它零部件的企業(yè)，主要為全世界大型AFM 公司（包括Thermo Microscopes 公司）提供代工（OEM）服務，2001 年Thermo 被收購后其技術高管（Gary Aden 和Paul West等）便入主Pacific Scanning 公司，并更名為現(xiàn)在的Pacific Nanotechnology 公司。PNI 公司為了更好地服務于中國,PNI 公司融合了美國最新電子學技術和日本Toyo 公司多年SPM 技術支持的實際成果率先開發(fā)出高線形掃描器SPM，能夠滿足科研和工業(yè)用戶的多方面性能和操作的需要。所有的型號都配備高性能的“Closed Loop”（閉環(huán)）控制線性掃描器。

Dr. Gary Aden President and CEO 
 
Gary earned his BS in Chemistry from UCLA and his Ph.D. in chemistry with a specialty in electron microscopy from Arizona State University. He has more than 20 years experience in high tech companies and 15 years experience in general management. He has 10 years experience in successful startups and corporate turnarounds, His previous work experience includes R&D positions at Rockwell BWIP, PGT, & Kevex, & Management experience as President of Kevex Instruments, President & CEO of TopoMetrix, and President of ThermoMicroscopes.

Dr. Paul West Vice President of Products and CTO 
 

Dr. West began working in the field of probe microscopy and nanotechnology as a post-doc at the California Institute of Technology in 1983 and holds over 20 patents for SPM and Nanotechnology innovations. He has 17 years experience in managing the design, development and marketing of scanning probe microscope instrumentation. Dr. West served on the President’s committee that created the National Nanotechnology Initiative.
