2009年6月15日—全世界最大的商業(yè)化微結(jié)構(gòu)特種光纖供應(yīng)商Crystal Fibre A/S公司，和業(yè)界領(lǐng)先的的超精密光纖激光器和Superk超連續(xù)譜白光激光光源制造商Koheras A/S公司宣布合并成為一家公司，合并后的公司名稱為NKT Photonics A/S (NKT光子)。
兩家公司所服務(wù)的市場(chǎng)對(duì)具有創(chuàng)新性的，價(jià)格有競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力，和經(jīng)過(guò)很好的應(yīng)用證實(shí)可靠的光纖為基礎(chǔ)的各種解決方案有持續(xù)不斷地需求，這些需求導(dǎo)致兩家公司的通力協(xié)作不斷增加，此次合并是市場(chǎng)要求的結(jié)果。 NKT Photonics的成立將平衡并且整合兩家公司的技術(shù)和產(chǎn)品優(yōu)勢(shì)，更好地服務(wù)現(xiàn)有客戶和新的客戶，為他們提供最先進(jìn)的光纖器件，光纖子系統(tǒng)，超精密光纖激光器和光纖為基礎(chǔ)的白光激光器解決方案。
 Koheras為丹麥公司，自1997年開始研發(fā)和生產(chǎn)高性能光纖激光器，該公司的高品質(zhì)光束的窄線寬DFB光纖激光器已經(jīng)在業(yè)內(nèi)普遍使用，同時(shí)與著名的研究機(jī)構(gòu)與大學(xué)的合作以及跟用戶開放式的合作，使Koheras擁有市場(chǎng)上最好的創(chuàng)新與最有效的光纖激光器解決方案. 
Koheras是NKT Holding A/S的全資公司，是NKT光子學(xué)組織的一部分，2004年并購(gòu)了德國(guó)LG 激光技術(shù)股份有限公司，這次收購(gòu)使Koerhas的激光器產(chǎn)品線拓展到諸如氬離子激光器，固體激光器，激光二極管模塊，氦－氖激光器以及一些激光器輔材，2006年6月LG 激光技術(shù)公司正式更名為Koheras股份有限公司。 
Koheras的產(chǎn)品目前已經(jīng)被廣泛使用在風(fēng)雷達(dá)、干涉?zhèn)鞲?、海洋探測(cè)、相干通信、通信測(cè)試、光譜分析、氣味傳感和空間應(yīng)用。
