法國Keopsys公司生產(chǎn)的光纖放大器和激光器產(chǎn)品在電信、遠(yuǎn)距離及現(xiàn)場傳感、科研、工業(yè)及軍事領(lǐng)域有著極其廣泛的應(yīng)用。Keopsys在產(chǎn)生高平均功率和高峰值功率方面有其獨(dú)特的專長。產(chǎn)品使用綜合方法進(jìn)行優(yōu)化從而可以進(jìn)行各種特殊的應(yīng)用,優(yōu)化方法綜合考慮了摻雜光纖的選用、泵浦方法、放大器結(jié)構(gòu)及子器件、泵浦激光器的類型和波長、還有機(jī)電配置。為在峰值功率、光電轉(zhuǎn)換效率、尺寸及重量方面達(dá)到最優(yōu)性能,Keopsys使用了多種專利技術(shù)。 
Keopsys的核心技術(shù)之一是使用高功率高可靠性的激光管來泵浦雙包層增益光纖(double cladding gain fibers (DCGF))。盡管Keopsys應(yīng)用了數(shù)種注入泵浦光到DCGF中的方式,但最通用的技術(shù)還是V型槽側(cè)向泵浦 (v groove side pumping (VSP))技術(shù)。
Keopsys is headquartered in Lannion France, with an advanced R/D laboratory in Fairfax, Virginia and a sales office in Pittstown, New-Jersey.
Initially founded in 1997 by Marc Le Flohic, under the name of OptoCom Innovation, the company underwent significant expansion and was re-funded under a new name of Keopsys by Marc Le Flohic, Jean Marc Delavaux and Lew Goldberg. Keopsys investors include Sofinov, Thalès Ventures, Natexis Ventech and Bretagne Participation, and Quan Ventures, with a combined investment of 14 million euros.
Keopsys has attracted a team with a demonstrated record of technical expertise and innovation, with approximately 40% of its workforce holding advanced degrees. The company maintains successful technical collaborations with research laboratories, universities and companies around the world.
Keopsys manufactures a large range of standard and custom-designed optical fiber amplifiers and lasers for fiber and free space optical communication systems, CATV, component testing, remote sensing, spectroscopy, material processing, military and research applications. High output powers are achieved through the use of double cladding fibers pumped by broad stripe diodes. A variety of pumping techniques are utilized, each optimised for a specific application.
In addition to conventional multimode fiber couplers, many Keopsys products also use a proprietary v-groove side-pumping (VSP®) to efficiently inject the pump light directly into double cladding fibers. This approach offers higher conversion efficiency, smaller size, simpler assembly, and shorter signal path than possible with other pumping methods.
