2006年 制藥廠商Watson Pharmaceuticals決定以大約19億美元收購(gòu)Andrx，以壯大其非專利藥(generic drug)業(yè)務(wù)，在迅速整合的產(chǎn)業(yè)中與較大的對(duì)手并駕齊驅(qū)。
　　Watson表示，上述并購(gòu)將使其成為美國(guó)第三大非專利藥廠商。它將以每股25美元的價(jià)格收購(gòu)Andrx，較過(guò)去30天Andrx的平均股價(jià)溢價(jià)32%。預(yù)計(jì)上述交易將增加其2007年獲利。
　　合并后的公司將擁有超過(guò)60項(xiàng)非專利藥的申請(qǐng)。Watson表示，預(yù)計(jì)今年將推出8種或更多新藥。
