東曹株式會(huì)社 于1935年在日本山口縣成立，最初是一家生產(chǎn)燒堿和純堿的專業(yè)企業(yè)。公司前身為東洋曹達(dá)工業(yè)株式會(huì)社（TOYO SODA），1987年改名為現(xiàn)在的東曹株式會(huì)社。“東曹”是“東洋曹達(dá)”的縮寫。

東曹達(dá)（上海）貿(mào)易有限公司
該全資子公司于2004年4月在上海成立，成為東曹在中國的產(chǎn)品銷售、市場(chǎng)營銷和業(yè)務(wù)開發(fā)的代表。目前經(jīng)營產(chǎn)品主要包括有機(jī)化學(xué)品、生命科學(xué)產(chǎn)品(高效液相色譜分析柱及填料等)及電子材料等。
